 Caretta Carettas have been lying their eggsin the region for 95 million years. Caretta carettas reaches to 1,5 meters height and 200 kg weight. They travel in world's seas. They feed with fish and seaweed. Normally they lay eggs once in 2-3 years time. Before laying period, males and femails get togother at Dalyan delta in March and April. Carettas make love for hours especially in Alagol region where fish and other feeding sources are rich. A female turtle can lay 100-150 eggs at once.

 Carettas lay their eggs there for 95 million years. Iztuzu beach hosts its heavy guests between 8 am and 8 pm. Between these hours the beach is banned to anyone else. This is the kingdom on the sand of caretta carettas that can reach sometimes up to 200 kg weight.

 Iztuzu Beach of Turkey where Carettas lay their eggs is a 5400 meters long arrow of sand which seperates Dalyan's labyrinths from the endless sea. A few decades ago the beach was used as a vacation place by the villagers, but nowadays this function has complately changed. At the and of every summer thousands of baby turtles in Iztuzu beach say "hello" to life trying to reach the water just to survive.
