You can swim in many places in dalyan. But Iztuzu Beach is a natural wonder. There is not such a place with fresh water of one side and salty water of Mediterranean at the other side. The beach starts at the bottom of radar hill and stretches till the front of Delikada. In this region called Dalyanagzi sometimes fresh water flows into the Mediterranean ans sometimes salty water into the delta depending on tides. Sand constantly changes place acording to the speed and direction of water.
Iztuzu Beach is very important for caretta carettas ton continue their species. These cute animals which are endangered of extinction lay their eggs in all the Mediterranean beaches. However, while the number of those that lay eggs in other places decreases, the ones in Dalyan increases, 300 nests have been determined in Iztuzu beach this year. Probably in the near future all caretta carettas will be born in Dalyan.
